We are officially, at least by the calendar, solidly into summer. By June we should’ve racked up many toasty hot days already. Last, we’ve had a handful but I think we can all agree this has been a summer stumbling weakly on its way in so far. Such is the wacky world of Chicago weather for sure. You get one or two scorchers and we are all running for the local pool. But then we get hit with runs of of hail and thunderstorms which can make for a sense that summer has come and gone already.
Never fear, Chicagoans! This happens every year and we have to enjoy every last drop of whatever summer sun is given to us. The many long months of wrapping up in thick layers through winter and spending the majority of our time indoors are just about done. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and lower temperatures than we would like. But we’ve also had a nice taste of one or two glorious days of summer – hot sun and blue skies. Eventually the flowers will bloom, the beach will be overrun with joggers and sunbathers and people playing volleyball, and the smell of barbecues will fill the air. And of course, most important of all, music will fill the city day and night for the next several months.
One thing that has not been curtailed in spite of any such weather fake outs has been this: wedding and special event season is upon us! Bookings are rolling in like crazy and the band’s calendar is filling up. It’s the most glorious time of the year for the John Paris Band, one of the top wedding bands in Chicago and one of the hardest working bands around.
It’s not too late to book us for your wedding or special event – we are always glad to take on exciting new gigs. Call or write us today for a free quote. Hope to see you around the dance floor this summer!
