Gearing up for Summer!

Things are in full swing around here for JPB. March was busy, April was busier, May is set to outdo them both. The music scene in Chicago tends to be very seasonal and summertime in Chicago, as we all know, tends to be the most glorious time of the year. Flowers start to bloom, ice cream trucks start to set up shop on street corners, joggers and bikers and scooterers and pushers of strollers vie for every square inch of the 606 trail.
But wait, is it really summer yet?? Last time I checked it was almost the 3rd week of May and still in the 40s – can that be right? Well, that’s how it goes in the City That Works. Does mother nature care if we want to work on our suntans? Evidently not. But one thing we can all be sure of is there will always be lots of music happening every day of the week in this fine hub of musical talent and tradition. And as the calendar flips through May the great music of Chicago starts to heat up even more and will just have to wait for the calendar to catch up.
