Fantastic Performance by Lake Geneva!

The John Paris Band had the great privilege of performing at the Lake Geneva Yacht Club last night. The occasion was the incredible wedding reception for Maria and Patrick and it really was a special night. We provided the solo piano for the cocktail hour, and then segued into a saxophone, bass, drums jazz trio for the dinner portion, and then kicked off the dance program with our full eight-member dance band.
The setting could not have been more spectacular with wide open views of the full Lake and the blue sky. The weather cooperated after some showers in the morning and it turned into a warm and sunny day which after the sunset drifted into a warm and pleasant evening. The huge patio at the yacht club was a great place to relax.
Most of the time however people were rocking the dance floor! It was nonstop, wall-to-wall, dancing for three hours. The band played a wide array of dance hits including some Motown, pop, Latin, top 40, disco, and rock to keep things moving along and the dancers were definitely enthusiastic and happy to dance to so many of their favorite songs. Hats off to my incredible singers, all of my phenomenal musicians, and my irreplaceable sound technician. It was definitely a group effort and we received a ton of thank you’s and compliments from the bride and groom, their family, and their guests. It was a great night and we are looking forward to the next one!
